Club Working Bee: October 13th

Working Bee

Calling all willing and able bodies to a club working bee held on Sunday October 13th, from 1 – 4pm.

Please help with making the club house, courts and garden environment tidy and inviting for all.

Afternoon tea provided!

 

Jobs List:
  • Cleaning of clubhouse gutters
  • Cleaning of clubhouse windows and glass safety panels on decking
  • Cleaning of spider webs from external clubhouse walls/corners
  • Tidying up of garden bed on pathway
  • Tidying up of garden beds around courts 1 & 2
  • Pruning – Pepper-tree Walk, shrubs on path around gazebo and steps up to gazebo,
  • General tidy up of garden bed v footpath at southern end of Courts 1 & 2 (at Croydon Road end)
  • Clean-up of Courts 1 & 2 between cyclone fence and sleeper walls.
  • Removal of sapling growing on fence at Court 3
  • General tidy up and remove “Junk” from space between kindergarten wall and cyclone fence at Courts 3 & 4
CTC can supply:
  • Large safety ladder (can access gutters) needs two people with one as a “spotter” and to “stabilise”
  • Large wheelbarrow
  • Some gardening gloves
  • Small pruning saw
  • “Rake hands”
  • Rake, shovel
  • Large, long pick-up “grabbers”
  • Extendable window cleaning brush & bucket
  • Long handled garden tool to assist with cleaning between cyclone fence and sleeper walls
As you can see there is much to be done. A big bin will be organised to be on-site.
The more hands the merrier and would be great if some participants bring their own clearly labeled tools.
